Bye-Bye, October

Raina, Daddy, and Phoebe went to the grand opening of the new Babies R Us/Toys R Us combo store and met Sunshine Bear,

...and Wow Wow Wubbzy,

...and Brobee!

This year, Raina was a kitty and Phoebe was a snowman.

Wanna be my guinea pig?

So, I submitted 4 class proposals to the local community college (CCAC for all you local folk), thinking that maybe 1 or 2 of them would get accepted. Guess they liked what they saw 'cause all 4 are making it into the spring catalog...

Fitness Bellydance
Finally, a fitness class that embraces your softness! Learn basic belly dance steps to stay in shape and tone your tummy, hip, arms, and buns. Veils will be incorporated for an amazing arm workout. This is a class for all ages and fitness levels. Dress in comfortable clothes (costumes more than welcome!) and bring a mat for a bonus ab workout.


Yoga Strength
Ready for yoga with a kick? Try combining traditional yoga postures with hand-held free weights, resulting in toning, strengthening, and increased muscle definition. This fitness yoga class will make you sweat with its vigorous flow but will also reward you with a deeply relaxing stretching section. Please bring light-weight dumbbells, yoga mat, and water.


Plugged In
Research has shown that people are more successful in achieving their fitness goals when they have group support. This is such a group! Not only will you participate in cardio, strength training, and flexibility workouts in class, but you will also meet a group of people with similar fitness goals. Joining this group means providing support to your fellow classmates both during class AND outside of class via a private online message board where classmates can share their journey to better health and the instructor can provide daily fitness challenges. A mat and hand-held weights are needed for in class, while internet access is needed for out-of-class participation.


Mommy Time
As everyone knows, us moms are the busiest people around. Very rarely do we take time for ourselves. Well, Moms, this is YOUR time! Through the use of interval training, we will burn more calories than your average workout. Time is not something moms have a lot of, so join this class to maximize your results! Please bring light and heavy weights, a mat, and water. Other than maybe your own, this is a tantrum-free class!
